2017 – 2022

Born in the foothills of Boulder in the fall of 2015, Envy Alo has quickly made a name for themselves in the thriving Colorado music scene. The band's brand of "boogaloo fusion" is built on an array of influences, ranging from old school organ funk to guitar-driven prog-rock.

Envy Alo is Aaron Pettine on Hammond organ and synth bass, Kevin Hinder on guitar, and Nate Etter on drums. Aaron and Nate have been performing for years in a variety of local Boulder bands, including Booster and Chando respectively. Kevin transplanted to Colorado in 2015 from Baltimore, MD where he performed in a number of bands over the years.

After just a few jam sessions, the three found an undeniable chemistry and soon crafted a nucleus of original songs. With a busy schedule of Front Range shows and a growing funkhead fanbase, 2018 is shaping up to be Envy Alo's biggest year yet. The release of their 3rd album, 'Cruise Control' is slated for September 14th, 2018 with two large album release shows that weekend. The line-up now includes Callie Morrocco on vocals, Kevin Supina on saxophone, and Karl Summers on bass guitar.

I teach children and adults the basics of music theory and technique in playing the guitar. I make lesson plans, am punctual and direct the house band in rehearsal and shows. I also take a number of clerical roles, such as payment processing, graphic design, customer service, social media management, and email marketing campaigns.

Technicolor Tone Factory, is an American Progressive Rock band founded in Boulder, CO late 2010. Highlighting the band’s collective backgrounds in Funk, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Jazz, Legato seamlessly ties all of their influences together to smoothly deliver a new sound that is undeniably their own. Some of the band’s live performance highlights include national tours with headlining concerts at The Coors Event Center, The Mishawaka Amphitheatre, Bluebird, Gothic, Oriental, Aggie, Boulder, and Fox Theaters as well as festival appearances at Wakarusa, Euphoria, and Arise. They have also shared the stage with international and national acts such as Wyclef Jean, Leanne Rhymes, The Wailers, Snarky Puppy, Moe., Dopapod, Robert Randolph, Kung Fu, Tauk, The Main Squeeze, Twiddle, and Perpetual Groove.

Essentially forged in the creative nucleus of the Zappa class, the final incarnation of The Gentle Shades came together in January of 2010. Ever since, they have been toiling at dense and effervescent compositions that are as fun to listen to as they are to play. The members of the band - John, Matt, James, and Karl - listen to a variety of music and one of the goals is to represent that eclecticism through their own interpretation. Easily at home in thoroughly-composed or improvisational environments, The Gentle Shades can heartily guarantee one simple yet all-important thing: they will kick ass.
