With a focus on water systems and a strong commitment to operational excellence, I have contributed to streamlining processes and enhancing system efficiency.
The transition from a field service engineer to a managerial position at Aquacycl reflects my versatility and ability to adapt to dynamic environments, while my time at SIO shows my capacity to be an integral part in a long-term program. The skills honed over these years have enabled me to effectively manage multiple remote systems and empower my team to meet and exceed operational goals. My journey has been defined by a desire for continuous learning and a deep motivation to create positive impacts.

Aquacycl2023 – 2024
Industrial wastewater treatment - Earthshot finalist 2023 (Fix Our Climate) Achievements/Tasks Oversee all leak & HMI logic testing, installation, decommissioning, operation, and optimization of wastewater treatment systems for industrial sites nationwide. Ensured optimal performance of BioElectrical Treatment Technology (BETT) and Microaeration (MA) wastewater treatment systems according to customer KPIs and requirements.
Supervised department activities for a team of five field technicians, including assigning projects and tasks, providing system and HMI training, conducting annual performance reviews, monitoring team metrics and goals, and building development opportunities. On-site and remote point of contact for customer support, requests, and technical training. Created internal and customer progress reports, training SOPs, system operation manuals, flow diagrams, P&IDs, and troubleshooting guides for proprietary treatment systems. Contributed to system design, equipment requirements, selection, and installation based on customer needs, including pre and post-treatment system partnering. Maintained department operational budgets and projections, procurement requests, travel schedules, time tracking, and task checklists for all site service visits. Coordinated company service vehicle maintenance.

Field Service Engineer

Industrial wastewater treatment - Earthshot finalist 2023 (Fix Our Climate) Achievements/Tasks Responsible for field and remote operations, including the regular maintenance of BioElectrical Treatment Technology (BETT) systems used for high-strength industrial wastewater management. *(During the company's critical start-up phase, field efforts helped solidify 2 new contracts with the main Key account customer.) Held a critical position in all phases of product implementation, from component fabrication to complete system installation and decommissioning. Assisted in the conception of site goals and created task assignments for the field service team. Involved in development and hydraulic design improvements for increased operator efficiency and system optimization. Responsible for training incoming field technicians on all HMI logic and hydraulic systems. Acted as the site supervisor for the service team and customer point of contact while on-site.
Drafted system operation manuals and training SOPs. Coordinated and transported gear/samples between the office and customer sites.

Research Development Engineer II
University of California San Diego Scripps Institution of Oceanography2001 – 2021
Atmospheric Chemistry / Climate Science laboratory Achievements/Tasks Working within a global time-series campaign using paired atmospheric gas samples, my responsibilities included sample analyses for CO2, O2/N2, and Ar/N2 concentrations, and associated data processing and reporting. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and associated planning and logistics for all field site weather stations and air sampling modules across 10+ global stations stretching from Antarctica to the Alaskan Arctic. Coordinated weekly, bimonthly, and annual shipping logistics for atmospheric gas sample flasks per NOAA and international station shipping schedules. Contributed to the design, fabrication, and procurement of materials required for instrument & systems development and maintenance. Managed all operations and maintenance of two high-pressure air compressors and their associated pneumatic systems. Responsible for all related HAZMAT shipping of compressed gas cylinders for domestic and international research collaborations. Conducted analyses of mass spectrometer and instrument calibration gases for daily atmospheric isotope research and round-robin laboratory calibrations. Utilized gas analysis data to establish statically declared values for calibration gases used in the WMO CO2 calibration scale, along with other atmospheric time series. Provided lab and field training for new employees and work-study students.
