In My Own Words

I’m a graduate of Portland Community College’s Graphic Design program and I’m excited to start a new career adventure. I’ve worked as a veterinary technician for the last decade, but it’s time to change directions. I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with a BFA in writing. I thrived in the PCC graphic design program, which included marketing, advertising, digital photography, illustration, computer applications and social media. I have proficiency with the Adobe Creative suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I also learned Figma, Google sites, wireframes, and Microsoft Office. I have a wide range of skills, including: attention to detail, page design, out-of-the-box thinking, flexibility, creativity, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills, tenacity, self-motivation and discipline to see difficult tasks through to completion. I’m a hard worker and love learning new skills.
