In My Own Words
Travis oversees the vision of the studio and is the main creative lead with all clients. Starting out as a junior designer at his alma mater of East Carolina University, he has developed his design and business expertise through award-winning agencies, in-house design teams and personal experiences that continues to shape him today. Throughout the years, he has worked with Vail Resorts, Smith, MetLife, Coleman, University of Denver, WineBid, Vibram, Young Life, Safilo Group, and Men’s Journal, as well as agencies like Spark, Cactus, BLKDG, Spin, Crank + Lever, gyro, and Magneti. In October 2019, Travis took some time off to make a dream come true and travel the world with his wife. His journey took him to Japan, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand. Travis loves fly fishing, boat rides, whiskey and cigars, being outside, traveling, dancing, a good glass of cab sav and spending time with his friends and family.

Bartlett Creative is a design studio that focuses on branding, art direction and photography. We specialize in creating beautiful brands, designing beautiful websites and taking beautiful photos. With over thirteen years of experience, we merge design expertise with extensive marketing knowledge to create unique and timeless brand solutions for every business. I am the owner and CEO of Bartlett Creative. Running a successful business requires innovation, organization and focus. I manage admin, billing, accounting, project management, being on time and on budget, client meetings, sending estimates out, all creative work and communication with hired vendors, staffing needs and interviews, and all necessary design, art and creative direction. I focus on branding, art direction, websites and photography, however my expertise extends beyond that. I have helped clients with production, RFPs, OOH, campaign development, digital marketing, website designs from the ground up, website re-designs, interactive user platforms, UX/UI work for apps, social media content and planning. I have also helped clients with copywriting, tagline exploration, video editing and storytelling, catalog design and layout, international campaign launches, brand voice and messaging, brand audits, marketing print design and brand identities. I have worked with many types of clients through direct partnership. I also directly worked with other creative agencies in-house and serve as a contractor and help support RFP’s and pitch work.
Senior Graphic Designer - Full-time
Spin2014 – 2016
Spin was a small agency, so I wore many different hats. I served as the lead creative designer on select clients and projects and served as the art director managing a team of six-plus people including a production artist, copywriters, junior designers, mid-level designers and other various contracted freelancers including photographers and videographers. I worked on national and local campaign projects creating and pitching art direction to the internal team and stakeholders. I was heavily involved in multiple successful RFPs acting as the senior designer, art director and video editor. I presented work to clients alongside the account team ensuring the vision and design expertise was correctly delivered to the client. I worked with Video Production teams and chose music and VO talent to create commercial quality video assets for international clients. Further, I did a lot of digital work including website design, social media design and digital campaign work. I also was the in-house photographer creating and capturing photos needed for our website, any advertising needs for internal purposes and other Spin marketing needs.

Smith Optics2011 – 2014
For over 50 years Smith Optics has hung its hat on a heritage of authenticity, innovating products for the fresh-air addict who pushes their limits and gear daily. At Smith, I created traditional marketing assets, digital ads and website designs. I also created and pitched international campaign concepts. I helped guide product line planning and naming, product and apparel design and product launches. I worked on tradeshow design and production, trending reports and design forecasting. As a photographer, I supported internal product and lifestyle photo needs managing our in-house photo studio. I managed image selects from product and lifestyle shoots, photo editing and photo management. Finally, I design catalogs and traditional paid media ads as well.

We move people. We move them to laugh, love, share, take action, together. All through the power of branding and marketing. At Spark, I worked on website design, branding projects, marketing collateral and other in-house design needs. I worked with the in-house photo team to create photo content for clients. I also performed high-end photoshop work on large campaign visuals. The industries I worked on while at Spark included local and national tourism, food and beverage, retail, packaged goods, sports and attractions.

As an in-house graphic designer, I worked on various project for several university departments. The projects ranged from website design, wide-scale university campaigns, social media marketing campaigns and countless print pieces for students. I was also an in-house photographer and captured photos for social, website and marketing needs. I also served as the student newspaper advisor focusing on design and photography consulting.
