In My Own Words

In 2016 I climbed Prussik Peak with two friends in Washington's Enchantments. The climb is not particularly difficult, went smoothly, and our reward was incredible mountain wilderness views from the summit. It was getting off the mountain when we ran into trouble. One of our two ropes stuck after the first of four planned rappels. It was a sub-optimal situation. Through teamwork and problem solving we were able to explore our options and adjust our descent plan. I safely led us on a traverse that got us off the mountain. Although the situation wasn't ideal, I'm proud that my teammates and I exercised good decision making and teamwork to egress ourselves. Now, I put my problem solving and teamwork skills to use in product development, product line management, and program management. I don't have to climb mountains in the office, but we still have to work together to develop creative solutions in retail brand environments. I'm well versed in both product and retail development, planning, operations, and project tracking. If you're interested in grabbing a coffee and talking shop about the outdoor and sports industry (or about having successful and safe fun in the backcountry), please shoot me an email.
