I am an IT Professional with over a decade of experience managing multiple technology platforms over a wide array of different platform types. as a highly active athlete in both skateboarding and golf i am always using different technology integrated into my sports to get analytic results. on a more professional technology level i have been running entire network/server infrastructures and IT teams at a high availability functioning level.

Responsible for providing leadership and management to the Information Technology department in its charge to provide, operate, and maintain computing and telecommunication equipment, and services that meet the needs of the Dealership and support the company’s mission, core objectives, and customers’ requirements. As IT Director I am responsible for all aspects of information technology and audio/visual equipment management and control, including supervision of IT/AV employees; budget preparation and management; recommendations for technical acquisitions; and development of guidelines, standards and procedures. Charged with strategic planning, tactical action, and operational decision-making to fulfill the mission of the IT/AV departments and assist with the fulfillment of the Dealership’s mission and objectives. As IT Director I possess initiative and drive, have a broad yet relevant technical knowledge with good management expertise and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Department Management: - Provide leadership, vision, and management to the IT department - Oversee the revision of the IT Strategic Plan on an annual basis ensuring its coherence with the overall organization’s strategic plan - Work with other managers and staff to assess and respond to the organization’s technical and procedural needs - Hold regular departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths for staff. - Supervise the ongoing operations of the department to provide quality and timely support of the organization’s hardware and software needs and end users’ technical training. - Provide day-to-day supervision and mentoring, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments as needed for IT personnel. - Assist in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT support staff - Prepare and oversee the yearly department budget and purchases - Serve as the department liaison for management planning and policy-making meetings and activities - Direct the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems. - Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts. Hardware and Software: - Establish the infrastructure to support and guide departments in computing and information technology efforts - Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the dealership - Ensure that the dealership stays current and competitive with respect to IT infrastructure and services - Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages. - Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements to determine potential value for the dealership - Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software - Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions Systems Operation and Maintenance: - Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the network and mission critical services - Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment - Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans - Oversee IT related aspects of the dealership’s relocation or renovation projects Organization Support: - Analyzes complex business needs and recommends technical solutions ensuring the results are accurate and complete. - Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions. - Directs implementation of new technology solutions and insures timely communication and training with end users - Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status. - Approves all business requirements prior to obtaining the technical solution. - Participates in designing, revising, and maintaining reporting and communication tools. - Assists other departments in generating training and procedural documentation. - Develops and conducts technical training with other departments as needed. - Other duties as assigned.
