Adaptive Sports Coordinator
Air Force Wounded Warrior2018 – Present
• Coordinated intake interviews with U.S. Air Force wounded service members to assess their needs and requirements to participate in wellness and adaptive sport events. • Identified personal and family needs of service members to appropriately match them to sports, activities, military programs, and community resources to best benefit their recovery and transition. • Built and maintained relationships and mentorships with service members between and during events. • Built and maintained relationships with local and national organizations, community resources, and non-profits to provide continuity of support for service members. • Scheduled, planned and coordinated travel and event logistics for teams of 12-15 U.S. Air Force wounded service members and 5 support team members for 8 events per year. • One-on-one assistance for U.S. Air Force wounded services members before, during, and after events to ensure individualized needs are met. • Provided logistic, travel, and competition day support to U.S. Air Force wounded service members for 2019 Warrior Games Trials and Games. • Maintained strong relationships with U.S. Air Force wounded service members, their caregivers, and family members to provide integrated support to the service members’ entire social and family network. • Managed and filled role of POC (Point of Contact) for care event rosters for whole AFW2 program (CVENT). Run reports, maintain database, and provide up-to-date information for AFW2 program.
