As the creative director, I designed the layout for multiple magazines including the Idaho Falls Magazine, Idaho Falls Destination Magazine, The City Map, and other print jobs including the ads for the magazines. I would work with the editor to gather all the editorial and photos needed for each edition. Other duties were sending e-blasts, newsletters, working with printer, uploading magazines, and meeting all press deadlines. Primary responsibilities for the CSR position was managing established accounts, while taking on new customers for litho and flexo printing and hand bindery. I would prepare all paperwork and supplied artwork for prepress. I also would have to approve and sign off on all print proofs. Most of the clients were for the medical industry, so I had to adhere to all HIPPA guidelines. I would have to make sure all the tasks were entered correctly in the CRM software for the client. These tasks were time sensitive and would require a great number of fine details. I also took calls and greeted walk-in customers daily. Most jobs were brochures, tablets, calendars, labels, magnets, and custom boxes, etc. The Package Design position required me to design and construct prototype boxes that were then made into CAD mockups and sent to the customer for approval. These custom boxes would be used for packaging, along with protection for the items inside. The boxes needed to be functional, aesthetically pleasing, but also withstand drop tests.
