I am a creative Mechanical Engineer with a passion for customer-focused design. I Have had experience working with the Outdoor Gear Industry in Product Development and Prototyping. I love improving on existing designs, and brainstorming new products and ideas. When I am not creating mechanical products, I enjoy designing apparel and sewing.

Design and Develop new innovative apparel through exploring various pattern-making and construction techniques, as well as exploring a wide range of fabrics. Focused on how to create the perfect garment for specific body styles, taking advantage of unique body shapes.

Industrial Design Intern & Gear Repair Specialist

Cotopaxi - Gear For Good

2017 – 2017

Participated in the Product Development Cycle, from brainstorming to pre-production. Worked with target audience to understand product usability, and receive feedback on design. Head of the Gear Repair Team. In this position, I created training and interviewing processes for team expansion. Along with repairing gear, I participated in prototyping custom products, using industrial sewing and other rapid-prototyping methods.

Research Assistant

University of Utah - Multiscale Mechanics & Materials Lab

2017 – 2017

Explored crack nucleation and propagation in metal 3D-printed geometries. Participated in the Sandia Fracture Challenge, predicting failure in additive manufactured geometries, as one of the main technical report writers. Using Abaqus and FRANC3D FEA software, simulated crack initiation and growth in various geometries. Used adaptive re-meshing with material state mapping to simulate crack propagation.

2016 – 2017

Responsible for supporting the team's design and production choices, preserving a productive work environment. Met with end-users, in operational environment, to discuss prototype functionality and future improvements. Participated in writing technical report for the projects. Allocated the human and economic resources to meet deadlines and stay within budget. Designed and created numerous prototypes and iterations based on customer needs and test results.
