In My Own Words

Coming up on a decade working in the action sports industry; still stoked to go to work every day. My professional career in social media marketing began in 2010 with a two-month internship in South Africa working with Team Jeep SA. My journey since then has been anything but ordinary. From working at BMX events around the globe to running a UFC Champion’s video game campaign to working in-house managing the social accounts for a globally recognizable brand, my experience is extensive. Most recently, I was the Social Media Community Manager at Monster Energy, where I managed the brand's main social media communities of over 32 million fans. Now, I apply my years of experience towards helping brands grow their business, by building and executing successful digital marketing strategies that achieve their goals. I bring the highest level of enthusiasm and professionalism to the brands that I work with. I specialize in sports and lifestyle brands but have also worked with companies in other industries. Specialties include: social media marketing, content creation, paid online advertising, events marketing, email marketing, and graphic design

As a freelance digital marketing manager, I provided marketing services, with a focus on social media, to companies in and around the action sports industry. I developed and executed marketing strategies that aligned specifically with the clients overall business goals. I developed successful integrated marketing campaigns by creating cohesive messaging across social media, email, and website communications. Staying up to date on latest online trends and emerging platforms, I would identify new opportunities that would benefit a clients brand.

In addition to checking metrics on published content daily, I created monthly social media reports to measure effectiveness of campaigns and analyze what content resonates with our audience to continually improve strategy.

Online Community Coordinator

ONE Industries

2013 – 2013

As the Online Community Coordinator I focused on managing ONE Industries' Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. I also maintained the company blog - curating and writing content, and wrote weekly race reports from Monster Energy Supercross and distributed them to online industry publications. In addition to managing content publishing and community engagement, I also developed and executed successful co-branded social media campaigns with two of the ONE's largest retailers, Motorcycle Superstore and Bob's Cycle.
