I’m a creative and technical apparel designer seeking projects that inspire and challenge me. I have over 5 years of design experience working with established brands and private labels for major retailers in Canada and USA (TJX Companies, Ross Stores, Joe Fresh/Loblaws). Expertise in design & product development, tech packs, and visual presentation/boards, with a focus on active apparel.

2015 – 2015

Aided in establishing the private label activewear business with Lamour. • Product development for a private label activewear brand for Joe Fresh/Loblaws • Created merchandising boards & presentations for the client • Worked closely with Joe Fresh’s PD team in trend research, fabric/trim selection, sketching, tech packs, costing, sampling. • Worked closely with suppliers overseas to ensure a smooth sampling process • Hired and trained a junior designer • Travel (trend research, customer meetings, overseas travel)

Designer - Industry Activewear

2014 – 2015

Worked in a team as the sole ladieswear designer for a newly launching activewear brand • Development of a seasonal activewear collection from initial concept to production • Trend research, fabric/trim selection • Sketched new developments • Created detailed tech packs • Daily correspondance and follow-up with suppliers overseas • Fitting/comments of development samples to ensure proper fit/finishing • Travel (trend research, trade shows, customer meetings, overseas travel) • Involved in all aspects of the brand launch (photoshoot/lookbook, trade show prep)

Started as an assistant designer and very quickly worked my way up to a senior designer position, managing a team of 8 designers. • Product development of private label activewear brand for TJX Companies (ladies, mens, girls, boys) • Sketched new developments & created presentation boards for buyers • Created detailed tech packs and worked closely with the production team • Daily correspondance and follow-up with suppliers overseas • Occasional graphic design work (creating prints, label artwork, hangtags, packaging)
