Work Experience
Conservation Director
San Juan Mountains Association2019 – Present
As the non-profit interpretive and education partner of the San Juan National Forest, we work to inform the public about the unique resources in the San Juan mountains, build a genuine relationship between the forest and the public, and provide stewardship opportunities for citizens to give back to their public lands.
Adventure Director
Canyon Country Discovery Center2016 – 2018
As Adventure Education Manager I design, market and execute a broad range of backpacking, hiking and river rafting based outdoor education programs for all age groups on the Colorado Plateau. Our programs are designed to teach participants about the local archeology, ecology and natural systems of the region while creating a personal connection and memorable experience with the landscape. Through collaborations with a variety of public and private partners we have provided the opportunity for hundreds of students from underserved rural, minority, and tribal communities to camp, raft, hike, and learn about the Colorado Plateau and Bears Ears National Monument in 2017.
