I've also done work for sustainably-minded brands such as SurfDurt and more.

For the past 2 years, I've operated an agency that offers copywriting, video production, photography, and email marketing. In that time, I've worked on projects for globally renowned brands such as Patagonia, Quiksilver, Vans, and O'Neill, smaller businesses like Plant Provisions, Galley Solutions, and Scribe Winery, the environmental nonprofit The Ecology Center, and many more.

For this LA-based agency, I wrote video scripts, brand books, strategy decks, product labels, blog posts, and much more. The types of clients ranged from CPG brands like Lo Sent tequila and Liquid IV to nonprofits like BCM, an Atlanta-based organization that provides assistance to unhoused people, and St. John's Health Center. In many instances I was not only creating the copy, but leading in creative ideation and presenting work to clients.!

Surfer Magazine

Editor-in-Chief | 05/2015 - 10/2020

I oversaw Surfer Magazine's editorial and co-branded content strategies, which included quarterly print magazines, feature films, YouTube videos, daily web articles, social posts (for a combined audience of over 5 million), partnered content with brands like GoPro, Vans and more. I managed a team of both in-house employees and remote contractors around the globe, edited copy for the magazine, wrote hundreds of articles and directed several short films. I also helped produce an annual award show on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
