Silicon MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) valves and electronics for hydraulics and pneumatics Design specification of production units and test stands, supplier selection, and PPAP activities (Control plans, Cpk studies, design reviews etc.). Validation testing, failure analysis and corrective actions. * Produced a temperature calibration fixture featuring tool-less setup and vastly superior heat transfer properties reducing HALT / HASS thermal cycle times from more than 45 minutes to less than 20 minutes. * Developed a hermetic ball plug that withstands over 2000 PSI, and 0 ppm leak after corrosion testing eliminating brazing and screws reducing cost and simplifying assembly. * Designed a brazed 3-layer manifold with internal passages reducing production cost by 50%. * Designed an IP67 submersible electrical enclosure, allowing for external electrical connections and +1000 hours of ASTM B117 salt spray successfully meeting challenging customer requirements.

Continuously variable transmission ( CVT ) technology development and intellectual property licensing Design of hub components and assemblies. Supplier evaluation and support. Technical document creation, FMEA, PPAP as well as hub assembly/wheel building and ride testing of prototypes. * Redesigned plastic injection molded bicycle shifter, eliminating over 95% of backlash, reduced rear packaging over 30% and greatly improving cable serviceability and user interface. (Patented) * Reduced subassembly of 11 unique parts to 7, resulting in cost savings and higher productivity. * Designed and analyzed all custom sized threads and joints associated to the B17 hub.
