A solution–focused Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer with design and manufacturing experience in the electro-mechanical, fluid delivery, cycling/mechanical drivetrain and semiconductor industries. More than 13 years engineering drawing ( GD&T geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ) 3D modeling experience; and metal forming, injection molding, casting, forging, coating and heat-treating processes. Design and develop of multiple, advanced new products and upgrades

*       Utilized design of experiments (DOE) techniques to improve product bond strength, exceeding customer requirements over 60%.
*	Expanded testing capabilities by creating a multi-environment lace guide interaction tester.
*	Led machine shop’s expansion through the procurement of injection molding equipment, as well as installation and operation; and the design of coupon tooling and development of injection parameters.

Product Development Engineer


Optimization of strollers and management of product structure and injection molding tool plans.

*	Provided leadership in the elimination of safety and functional issues from ODM products, allowing them to meet ASTM, CPSC and other regulatory compliance standards.
*	Implemented Kids II’s first PDM system for managing CAD, part numbers, and engineering specifications.
*	Simultaneously reduced cost and improved fatigue life and stiffness to a subassembly.


Senior Product Development Engineer

Designed composite wheels, and interfacing components. Weibull and statistical analysis of test data.
*	Lead engineer on carbon fiber Aeolus D3 product line including the D3 9, world’s fastest wind tunnel tested wheel.
*	Improved the torque to tension relationship of spokes by 40%, greatly reducing production scrap.
*	Created new evaluation methods and equipment for wear and fatigue testing of quick release skewers.
*	Assisted vendor in the identification and correction of numerous supplier quality related issues, reducing their frequency and improving product deliveries.


Wheel Design Engineer

Silicon MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) valves and electronics for hydraulics and pneumatics

Design specification of production units and test stands, supplier selection, and PPAP activities (Control plans, Cpk studies, design reviews etc.).  Validation testing, failure analysis and corrective actions.  
*	Produced a temperature calibration fixture featuring tool-less setup and vastly superior heat transfer properties reducing HALT / HASS thermal cycle times from more than 45 minutes to less than 20 minutes.
*	Developed a hermetic ball plug that withstands over 2000 PSI, and 0 ppm leak after corrosion testing eliminating brazing and screws reducing cost and simplifying assembly.
*	Designed a brazed 3-layer manifold with internal passages reducing production cost by 50%.
*	Designed an IP67 submersible electrical enclosure, allowing for external electrical connections and +1000 hours of ASTM B117 salt spray successfully meeting challenging customer requirements.


Design Engineer

Continuously variable transmission ( CVT ) technology development and intellectual property licensing

Design of hub components and assemblies.  Supplier evaluation and support. Technical document creation, FMEA, PPAP as well as hub assembly/wheel building and ride testing of prototypes.  
*	Redesigned plastic injection molded bicycle shifter, eliminating over 95% of backlash, reduced rear packaging over 30% and greatly improving cable serviceability and user interface. (Patented)
*	Reduced subassembly of 11 unique parts to 7, resulting in cost savings and higher productivity.
*	Designed and analyzed all custom sized threads and joints associated to the B17 hub.
