About the Role:The Fit &amp; Technical Design Manager manages the Fit &amp; Technical Design department to ensure proper fit, style, function, and salability on all products and works closely with design, product developers and merchandisers to fulfill design intent and elevate the brand. Objectives &amp; Responsibilities:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Manage staff, monitor workflow, and meet calendar deadlines.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Monitor payroll, submit vacation requests, process model payroll checks.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Teach and advise Fit &amp; Technical Design team on fit, pattern making and grading.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Implement processes and systems to create a productive, efficient, collaborative atmosphere.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Willingness to discuss conflicts and offer creative solutions.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Advanced skills in fit, pattern making and grading.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Engineer patterns for function and mobility and correct difficult fit problems.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Create, update, and oversee grade tables in PLM.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Attend all fittings to ensure size consistency and competitive fit.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsible for a collection of styles with the highest fit difficulty.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Evaluate samples for fit, style and function on the form and in group fittings.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Write accurate and concise instructions to achieve desired fit.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Communicate difficult pattern revisions via diagrams and photos.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Increase knowledge of fit, pattern making, grading and 3D.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Organize and evaluate competitor research projects to ensure industry sizing standards.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Contribute to marketing projects that enhance the Obermeyer fit story and elevate the brand in the marketplace.Requirements:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;12+years of experience in pattern making and product development.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Expert knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Expert knowledge of fabrics, trims, insulations, and their performance in garments.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficient in PLM and pattern making software.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficient knowledge of 3D.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent time management and organizational skills to establish priorities and meet specific deadlines.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to meet objectives.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, multitask, and generate results.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;An outdoor enthusiast with a passion for creative technical apparel.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Degree or certificate in Apparel Fashion Design.
