Design innovator with ample experience with women's and men's lifestyle apparel. Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of ethical design, from fabric development, fit, trend research, and sketches to presenting to accounts and following through to production. Strong ability to lead all categories of lifestyle products. Extensive experience traveling to accounts domestically, factories/mills/wash houses in Asia, and inspiration research/fabric shows in Europe.

Careismatic Brands

2022 – Present

Lead the design of the 3rd largest launch in the company’s history • Innovated Careismatic’s offering by modernizing the over all aesthetic, fit, fabrications and processes • Fostered a creative environment that leads the best in class product while nurturing assistant and associate designers • Set the direction per season and incremental drop by conducting market research • Works closely with pattern makers, tech designers, and sample sewers to update and maintain fits • Fit garments on fit models weekly for first proto through first production fit • Following product through concept to preproduction and production • Worked closely with fabric vendors and R&D department to always maintain and update brand appropriate, and tend leading fabrications • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to insure intended product is executed

Men's Senior Designer

Hybrid Apparel

2016 – 2020

Designed and managed mens / young mens for Nordstrom, Marcy's, as well as fast fashion Forever21 and Urban Outfitters and others • Designed the following categories: cut and sew knit tops, full fashion sweaters, woven tops, outerwear, denim jackets, swim, and graphics as needed • Shopped the market in Los Angeles as well as surrounding areas and New York, for inspiration • Worked with product development, technical design, and production to ensure each garment was correct, fitted properly, and met design standards • Traveled to Latin America to develop designs at the factories • Met with sales and buyers to present product for pre sales and sales meetings in LA and NYC • Engendered well rounded line plans per delivery per account • Managed a team of assistant designers and graphic designers • Presented trend and mood boards per delivery to sales and management • Met with fabric vendors to select new fabrications as well as develop new fabrications

2014 – 2016

• Launched 3 denim lines, MBX, Michael Brandon, and Thread and Cloth • Designed and developed men's / young men's life style collection for Thread & Cloth. • Designed and all categories for MBX and Michael Brandon with a major focus on denim. • Selected all fabrics for categories with focus on improving quality while being cost effective • Developed and approved denim washes / finishing based on fabrication • Traveled extensively to Asia for sourcing and product development • Traveled to Europe for Première Vision Fabrics to source new fabrics as well as shop the market • Attended market in New York and Las Vegas to present lines to sales teams

Men's / Young Men's Designer

2009 – 2014

Primary design and development role was Seven7 men's denim designer but also included, knits, woven tops, non-denim bottoms, and lightweight jackets • In addition to the above designed portions of the following licensed brands and products: Seven7 junior's denim, missy denim, BEBE, DKNY Jeans, Superdry, Dylan George, and Abbot + Main • Sketched original designs in Adobe • Developed washes and process on denim bottoms/tops, non denim bottoms, and woven shirts • Created, maintained, and updated technical packages of design and development • Created line-sheets and line plans for the sales team, merchandisers, and production • Followed up with overseas to develop all styles into accurate sales men samples • Fit and speced garments to ensure proper construction / fit • Attended all fittings and made comments as needed • Maintained constant communicated with domestic and international sampling teams
