I will do whatever it takes to get the UCLA Beach Volleyball team closer to a national title. Most of the time that includes assisting the coaches in drills, managing time at practice, filming the athletes and working with video personnel to process the footage, organizing equipment, and creating a positive team image through attractive social media accounts. At other times, it means supporting the program by operating summer camps. It requires me to be proactive, flexible, and communicative. It is the ultimate example of working as a team to achieve a common goal.

As a coach, I worked with my fellow coaches to devise and execute practice plans at the appropriate level for athletes between 10 and 18 years of age. I took stats during drills and analyzed them with the athletes in order to give constructive feedback. Around practice time, I communicated club logistics to parents to make sure everyone stayed well informed.

My job as a lifeguard required me to maintain a safe environment for the public by enforcing rules and being hyper-aware of my surroundings. I worked with the other staff to host birthday parties and camps, and to prepare the facility for any other events while maintaining friendly and professional interactions with patrons. My role as a water safety instructor was similar to being a volleyball coach. I planned and implemented swim lessons appropriate to ages ranging from 6 months to 16 years. In situations where the parents were not already active in their child's class, I also conveyed the progress of the children to their parents and discussed with them a future course of action.
