Fabric Sourcing and Development from South Korea, China, Bangladesh and India etc.

Responsible for delivering all strategic and operational Technical aspects of Development and Production across Fabrics, in a timely, creative and Cost effective manner. Key Responsibilities:- All fabric Sourcing and Development for across the Company Direction of Risk Analysis for all new Fabric and Garment Developments and Managing the Pre-Production process of booked Fabrics. Auditing and preparing a preferred Supplier list for Fabric Mills, subsequent evaluation and recommendation. Evaluating and approving the capabilities of potential and existing Factories across the India and China from an ethical standpoint. Buyers : Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Talbots, Chubbies etc.

Technical Liaison with Customers for Production and Development both on Fabric. Managing all Technical staff ensuring that the Garment and Fabric Techs fulfill their designated role. Managing failure through damage limitation, problem solving and staff guidance, minimizing all potential costs/penalties for fabric factories. Development and training of all new manufacturing sources for all technical aspects of delivery across all fabric. Advising Senior Management on new fabric trend/cost/technical limitations and benefits. Buyers : Zara, Anthro, Mint Velvet, Z labels, Bik Bok, Review, Message, NAKD etc.

Business Planning and Development with new Customers. Sales Target & Pricing. Buyers : Gap, Lucky, Guess, Esprit, Urban etc.

During the tenure, I was responsible for :- Sourcing and Development of fabrics, Fabric Costing and Price Negotiation. Quality Approval and Bulk Fabric follow-up with the Vendor and Processing Mills. Responsible for Seasonal Development as well as Costing. Working closely with Mill and Merchandising on Fabric Costing. Visiting Weaving and Dyeing Mills on regular basis from Development to Finishing stage with respect to all Fabric related Technical matters. Buyers : JCP, H & M, Next, CWC etc.

During the tenure, I was responsible :- Assist the Technical Development, Pre-Production and Cataloging of all Fabric & Colors through to the Bulk Production. Partner with the Technical Operations of the distribution centre Quality control Team on all issues regarding the quality of Fabric and Color of all Merchandise. Shade matching as per Buyer Standards like INCA, UL-30, D-65, TL- 83 etc. Buyers : C & A, Mango, New Look, Carrefour, Red Cats, Target etc.

During the tenure, I was responsible :- Sample Development, Shade Matching, Lab-dip Approvals, Presentation of Samples making and sending to the Buying Houses & Development done as per Buyers requirement. After receiving developments like Bitloom, Strike-Off and Lab-Dip checking with Quality, Pattern and Color as per original Cad. Before dispatching the bulk fabric, checking with all Testing reports as per Customer demand. Buyers : OTTO, Karstadt etc. Solutions for all Technical problems in Dyeing, Printing, Finishing and Testing like “OEKOTEX CERTIFICATE”
