As the E-Comm Operations Coordinator, I am responsible for ensuring that our distribution center is working to ensure all orders are shipped as soon as possible, however along with that I focus on other issues that may arise such as out of stock issues, order allocation, inventory management, and communicating with our Ops team at our Distribution Center in Mexico. I am well-versed in using WMS systems, as well as Excel, and other tools such as Slack.

At our new shop right on Coast Highway in Encinitas, we have a very unique retail space. We sell our all-natural men's essentials, such as soap, shampoo, hair pomades, and hair sprays, which we utilize in our barbershop. In the small space that we have, we have curated brands that we would personally buy, use, and wear ourselves. We sell men's clothing and outerwear, backpacks, surfboards, wetsuits, and other surf accessories. My general responsibilities every day are to open the shop, assist the barbers, merchandise, provide great customer service, and assist in working with our small team in the production of our men's essentials goods. There is a small crew of us who work here, and I essentially manage everything that happens on the floor in the shop.

I am a Sales Associate at Surfride in Solana Beach, working in the Surfboard and Wetsuit departments. I pride myself on my knowledge on different surfboard designs and technologies, as well as having the ability to provide knowledge on any board in the shop, to anyone who walks in, as well as assisting customers with anything that they may need!

At Rusty, I spent most of my time handling general retail floor responsibilities such as handling the shop, merchandising, running the social media page, and most importantly, making sure our customers were happy. I worked here for a short period to try and get more experience int the retail world, but also to try and make more connections in the surf industry. I specialized in selling surfboards and surf accessories, however, the shop was so small that I am comfortable with selling anything from women's clothing and bikinis, to kids clothing at wetsuits!

Working with designers and reps of Oneill Wetsuits at various demo's, getting people into wetsuits, as well as educating new and old customers on the new wetsuit technologies.

I had the opportunity to take part in a paid internship with the San Diego Lifeguards. Through this internship, I was able to learn valuable ocean and rescue skills. My daily operations consisted of assisting the lifeguards with whatever was needed, such as setting up cones and flags on the beach, assisting with rescues, as well as working with the general public in a professional manner.
