I am currently a freelance contributing writer for HomeFront Magazine, and I volunteer write for Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California where I am a drummer on the worship arts team. I am also a freelance drummer at multiple other churches around Orange County, I give private drum lessons, and I blog at trentarmstrong.com. As the Operations/Logistics Manager at SUP ATX, I reported directly to the COO & President as I spear-headed multiple vital roles. I controlled all company-wide inventories. I controlled our supply chain from Asia factories, all the way to consumer. I handled all intl imports & exports from start to finish while negotiating rates and maintaining accounts with carriers & freight forwarders. I managed all intl & domestic shipments for wholesale, retail, distribution, and e-commerce channels which included small parcel, air freight, LTL, and FTL shipments. I managed EDI compliance with big box accounts such as Amazon and Costco.com. I maintained relationships with 3PL facilities while also remotely managing multiple DC's nationwide. I also managed our e-commerce platforms in both Magento & Shopify while maintaining all integration software for shipping and Quickbooks data flow. I created SKUs, PO's, and received company-wide inventory within Quickbooks Enterprise for multiple locations.

As the Senior Retail Store Manager at Becker Surfboards in upscale Corona del Mar, I created & implemented policies & procedures to insure consistency across multiple stores. I identified store needs, purchased inventory, and introduced new vendors and products. I developed and installed strategic merchandising campaigns to achieve ideal product placement, visual appeal, and timely sell through. I minimized shrinkage using organizational skills, POS systems and loss prevention techniques. I recruited, trained, mentored, and managed a team of employees to succeed at the highest level of customer service while maintaining a fun, positive atmosphere through creative management and leadership which ensured positive morale among employees and customers.
