Hello, my name is Topher McLarty, and I am a conceptual thinker and strategic planner who balances sales production and marketing leadership. In my experience I have acquired expertise in identifying, establishing, and generating significant business opportunities with success in meeting both personal and corporate goals. I consider myself to be a skilled motivator with a keen business acumen. 

Currently employed with the National Association of Home Builders as Director- Young Professionals Programs, I have been given the fantastic opportunity to work with top-notch companies as members of the association and to work closely with their teams of highly-successful business leaders and professionals. Through this experience I have been able to address members’ issues and to assist them in meeting their objectives.

Personally, as an avid lover of nature and the great outdoors, I have an easy-going, organic approach to working with all levels of management and staff with a genuine and mutual respect for every human being that I meet. I am open to new experiences, and I have a passion for facing new challenges.

In this fast-paced & ever evolving position, it is my job to provide the resources to help local home builders, association members and staff to start, grow, and foster the next generation of the Home Building Industry. I am tasked with building a thriving and robust program designed to engage Young Professionals and those new to the industry by advertising the benefits of membership, the YP Community and promoting how being a part of this community can help you “Build your Career”. 

- Increase awareness and visibility of Young Professionals in the Home Building Industry
- Enhance the value of membership to Young Professionals
- Grow social media sites membership and content engagement
- Manage budget used to build YP Program within NAHB
- Build the YP Movement in the Building Industry

In this pivotal position serving the needs of membership is my #1 priority. Our association wants to ensure that members receive the guidance, support and direction for activities, materials, policies and programs that result in increased member representation and involvement within the NAHB federation and the home building and remodeling industry.
= Serve as Lead Staff for the Associates Committees and subcommittees.
= Contribute substantive content to social media sites and the main web page.
= Manage the Associate department budget and ensure resources are allocated appropriately
= Work closely with other NAHB staff to ensure quality customer service.

Director of Associate Programs

This position afforded me the opportunity to serve as a liaison between the Leading Suppliers Council (LSC) and the member companies to ensure they were receiving their benefits and updating them on any changes in the benefits.
= Set up national annual board meetings in conjunction with the International Builders Show located in either Orlando or Las Vegas.
= Worked in increasing membership.
= Project managed the The New American Home that provided visitors with ideas on new products and designs.

Assistant Director, Leading Suppliers Council

In this role I was given the critical task of recruiting and retaining national corporate members and developing their presence with the NAHB.
= Recruited and retained national corporate members - $7,500 dues fee per company.
= Created and implemented a new marketing plan.
= Sourced and implemented new member benefits.

Manager, Membership Recruitment & Retention - Leading Suppliers Council

In my first role with NAHB, I supported the sales and marketing efforts in an administrative role.
= Handled the processing of the council payment records and all monthly invoicing.

Staff Assistant, National Sales & Marketing Council

While at Mosaic I participated in experimental marketing promotions educating people on the Perfect Pour Draughtmasters Competition for Stella Artois. 
= Raised product awareness and collected marketing data for research which was reported to corporate headquarters.
