Associate Product Developer

Engineering & Production

I blame my passion for product development on the aesthetic beauty of a Lamborghini Diablo and the curiosity of how things works. This curiosity also lead me to become a gear head and one of the few people, I think, that gets a kick out of a pick a part yard. However, motorcycles have caught my heart and have been inspired to create something for this classic niche market. 

- Manage, organize, and update tech packs when required.
- Ensure BOM, Color, Data sheets, and tech pack remains accurate for overseas factories.
- Manage new fabric development with innovation and sustainability in mind.
- Monitor development throughout the process from trims to fabric to bulk production.
- Ensure smooth development from concept and manage timeline expectations.
- Lead accessories (face mask, headwear, gloves) development.
- Manage line plan for accuracy.
- Lead calendar based on line plan assortment needs.
- Visit overseas factory for bulk QC inspection in Vietnam and Taiwan.
- Visit overseas sublimation and dye printing mills in Taiwan for QC and production cohesiveness.
- Schedule, prepare, and lead fit sessions in outerwear/ apparel/ and accessories.
  


- Liaison between vendors and Stokehouse team throughout development process.
- Manage WIP from all vendors.
- Negotiate best price and best exit date with domestic and overseas vendors/ factories.
- Forecasting and mitigating production/ transit delays due to COVID-19.
- Approve/ review material strike-offs and trim submits for Vissla apparel styles.
-Gather wash care instructions for new SKU each season.
-Track, Receive, and organize samples, trim submits, and material strike-offs with trim/ material library.


-Communicate daily with local, domestic, and international vendors.
-Validate SMS and TOP garment against tech pack for inconsistencies.
-Create and send purchase orders for fabrics, trims, embellishment, as well as full package.
-Manage and organize WIP daily.
-Assist in garment fit sessions, setting up sample list and scheduling with fit models.
-Collaborate with merchandisers in buys to oversell or under sell.
-Organize and manage SMS, TOP, fabric, trim, and strike-off samples.


Product Development Internship

- Edit tech packs and create product files.
- Measure and spec garments to ensure they are being made in accordance with standards.
- Build and edit comment sheets, buy not ready sheets with images and corrective action.
- Track and coordinate samples through shipping, receiving, organizing, and storing.
- Build and maintain knit samples.
- Communicate and work closely with the merchandisers and design team.

Product Development Intern

- Day to day Q.A. auditing, measuring, and photo documentation. 
- Create, record, and execute fabric testing methods, AATCC. 
- Provide assistance and feedback to production for tech pack P.O.M. page. 
- Work closely with mills and factories to mitigate fabric/ sewing imperfections. 
- Create internal reports using Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Illustrator. 
- Supervisor responsibilities leading Q.A. team of 17. 

Quality Control Supervisor 

-Worked all positions and responsibilities because it was a small company. 
-Duties included: 
-Create invoices and packing slips.
-Create and edit customer artwork for screen printing, screen print on all surfaces and projects such as brake calipers, helicopter switch panels, glass, plexi-glass, and of course garments. 
-Meet clients for any quality issues and helped create regulations for ISO certification. 
-Aid with company management through Quickbooks. 

Graphic designer/ Quality Assurance 

-Create airway bills for international documents using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
-Edit and Correct invoices for customs auditing. 
- Supervise, proof, sign off all documents before finalizing. 
- Accurately and efficiently enter data from UPS operations system.
- Worked overnight shift working with overnight and 2 day packages.
- Communicated to international and domestic air hubs.
