I’m a Los Angeles-based full-time freelance writer covering outdoor sports, adventure, environmental issues, travel, and arts & culture. I write a profile series called “Trailblazers” for Modern Hiker; other recent bylines include Alpinist, Backpacker, Outside Online, Adventure Journal, Land+People, Matador Network, Verticulture, Adventure Film School, and REI Co-Op Journal. My book 'Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Southern California' will be released in November 2017 via Mountaineers Books.

I am a full-time freelance writer and copy editor for hire. I write for an array of print publications and web outlets, and create content for outdoor, adventure, and travel brands. I spent three years as Copy Editor of art magazine Beautiful/Decay, and have worked on a variety of other projects including grant proposals, full-length books, and funeral home web copy. (Yes, seriously.)
