Hello, my name is Scott McClymonds and I've been pursuing graphic design as a career since 2003. I was born and raised in Lakewood/Long Beach, CA. I graduated in 2003 with an associate of science in graphic design from Brooks College in Long Beach, California. My design career began in the athletic apparel industry, working on custom designs, mock-ups and color separating artwork for silk-screening. I have great time management and project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a true team player. I have 22 years of experience working with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, logo design, recreating logos, mock ups, schematics, tech packs, catalogs, brochures, banner ads, embroidery, 4 color process and spot color separations, print collateral, sublimation, transfers, photo editing and creating new fonts.

My position at Pacific Athletic Wear involves creating original art and redrawing clients designs they provide, mock ups, emailing proofs, schematics, spot color and 4 color process separations for screen printing apparel. I’m responsible for setting up Nike schematics, color separating designs after approved, BSN Sports mock ups and color separations, managing the film printer, setting up files for sublimation and heat pressed transfers, tackle twill and embroidery files. Maintaining and archiving all orders and apparel images. Meeting all deadlines and following up with client emails regarding approval on art mock ups.

Maintaining workflow, archiving all jobs, meeting all deadlines, sitting down with clients and discussing and designing what they want. Creating original designs and customer-supplied artwork into press-ready files for screen printing via spot color separation using the Pantone color guide or simulated 4-color process (CMYK) with Illustrator or Photoshop. Emailing mock ups to clients to verify their artwork, colors, placement, and print dimensions. Cleaned up low-resolution .jpegs and other artwork when needed. Converted logos to vector art for screen-printing apparel and hat purposes.

Redrawing customer-supplied artwork into press-ready files for screen printing via spot color separation using the Pantone color guide or simulated 4-color process (CMYK) with Illustrator or Photoshop. Emailing proofs to clients to verify accurate specs in regard to placement, color usage and print dimensions. Cleaning up low-resolution .jpegs and other artwork when needed. Converting logos to vector art, photo manipulation, color correction when needed/requested. Oversaw the general maintenance and management of Epson Stylus Pro 9600 printer.
