It's been said that if you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life. Little did I know back in 1984, when this journey began, that I would be able to enjoy a career working in a rewarding, challenging, and exciting industry. From my days behind the parts counter to attending racing events across the country and working with the best athletes in powersports and motorsports racing, I've experienced it all and loved every minute of it! My 40 years of experience in the powersports industry have allowed me to understand the business from all sides. I draw upon these experiences in my writing and consulting to provide the best advice and action plans. My work at dealerships allowed me to understand the processes required to be successful. It taught me invaluable sales and marketing skills that later progressed into managing and revitalizing a brand that went dormant in the space. Using the resources provided and extensive teamwork, we were able to transform the brand back to its former position as a leader in the industry. Never one to back away from a challenge, I was then able to manage an extensive trade show schedule across multiple brands and several industries, delivering successful shows under budget with proven sales results. Now, I wake each day to a new challenge, assisting in growing an established industry leader globally and domestically, using the skills and relationships garnered from my career. Additionally, I am a published photographer and provide content for various media outlets, including powersports industry websites NJ Motocross and The Privateers Story. I also write about powersports business, sponsorship relations, and racing on scottlukaitis.com and consult on these topics, providing real-world suggestions to improve and deliver measurable results. NJ Motocross is a website devoted to the history of motocross in and around New Jersey, past, present, and future. I started it to provide users a complete look at all things related to the rich history of motocross racing in the Northeast, emphasizing New Jersey racers and events. The site contains current and archived images, videos, articles, and results about racing past, present, and future.

I have designed, implemented, maintained, and promoted the site since its inception and continue to do so, including providing the majority of the content and updates for the site and its social streams, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

As the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Engine Ice Division at Recochem, I lead efforts to drive growth and expand into new markets and customer segments. Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant, the top-selling antifreeze and coolant in the U.S. motorcycle and powersports industry, provides a strong foundation for growth. In my first year, I spearheaded the launch of new products, expanded our international distribution, and laid the groundwork for a broader range of coolant solutions targeting both the powersports and automotive sectors. Recently, we've successfully introduced products that not only round out our powersports line but also establish our presence in the high-performance automotive market. As we continue to innovate, Engine Ice is committed to delivering industry-leading coolant solutions across diverse industries. Stay tuned for more exciting developments!

Director of Sales and Marketing - Engine Ice

As the Chief Operating Officer for Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant, the top-selling antifreeze and coolant in the motorcycle and powersports industry in the USA I was responsible for all day-to-day operations of the company. I laid a hand on every aspect of the business growing it by nearly more than 75% over the period of four years. We added international distribution in South Korea and New Zealand and added four additional distributors to our United States team. Marketing, trade shows, racer support, logistics, and distributor relationships were all a part of my daily tasks.

Chief Operating Officer

Responsible for planning and execution of trade shows and events related to the the Calumet Specialty Products packaging division. With nearly 100 shows and events throughout the year spread across 2 brands, Bel-Ray and Royal Purple, and their various divisions, flexibility and attention to detail are a must. In addition to the traditional trade and consumer shows, we also participate in on-site events with our mobile marketing unit, truck and trailer. These shows deliver positive leads and effective targets for sales to close showing positive return on the assets on investments of Calumet. 



Event Manager

Responsible for all aspects of marketing the brand Internationally across all 4 of the companies divisions. Powersports, Marine, Industrial and Mining. 

Act as a liaison between the company and all media outlets to obtain editorial coverage that represents the brand in a positive manner.

Act as sponsorship coordinator to organize and administer racing support actions with professional and amateur racers and racing teams. Work within budget constraints to ensure brand visibility across various types of racing. 

Build relationships with athletes, amateur and professional, and build brand ambassadors from each relationship. 

Build and maintain all company social streams including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Design and develop channel specific content across the company's divisions including Mining, Industrial, Marine and Powersports. Provide real time event posting using relevant hashtag campaigns to maximize the effectiveness of each network. 

Organize and ensure complete activation at events and trade shows allowing the brand to be represented in the most effective manner possible. Ensure trade shows and events align with sales goals to deliver measurable ROI. 

Produce content and editorial support for corporate and racing specific web properties.

Develop press and product releases that distribute to all company distributors and international media outlets.
 

Brand Manager

In an industry stuck in the past Ocean County Powersports has enabled me to create an all new position in which I am responsible for all e-commerce and internet-related contacts. As the "Director of all thing web" I am responsible for any and all internet based initiatives. Using the current social media trends we are attempting to create an all new job description necessary in today's fast-paced society. It is a work in progress and will be updated as necessary.
Currently the position entails: 
-Create and maintain the companies social media applications including blogs, Twitter, and Facebook Profiles.
-Create and maintain the companies Ebay store.
-Create and maintain the companies e-commerce site.
-SEO optimization of all associated websites
-Promotion of race team sponsored riders to digital and print press. 
-Building brand awareness across digital media channels including new location based marketing techniques. 
In addition my position enables me to continue my relationship with customers via personal and digital interactions.

Ecommerce Manager

Freehold Honda Triumph is a full service franchised Honda powersports and Triumph motorcycle dealer located in central New Jersey.
-Responsible for the day to day operation of a high volume parts and accessory department. 
-Responsible for all domestic an international shipping and receiving.
-Responsible for staff training, scheduling and sales motivation. 
-Create and maintain the companies social media applications including blogs, Twitter, and Facebook Profiles.
-Create and maintain the company's Ebay store. 
-Create and maintain the company's e-commerce site.
-Using relationship marketing and zero advertising we were able to create and build a successful international retail and wholesale niche business using good word of mouth marketing techniques and current social media applications.

Parts and Accessory Manager

Responsible for the day to day operations of a high volume accessory department.
- Focused on expanding the accessory and clothing aspects of the business including purchasing, marketing and merchandising.
- Over the time frame we went through 4 different physical locations eventually ending up in a 33,000 square foot facility after a fire forced a move to a temporary location.
- During my time with the company we were fortunate to be named a Dealernews Top 100 dealer and were even featured  as a cover story.
- Helped to develop the website and very early e-bay integration. 
- During my time at Woodbridge Powersports we were a Lemco 20 club member for many years and attended several training sessions by Ed Lemco including ones specifically designed for management positions.
