CAD & Linesheet Designer

I was brought on as the primary designer to oversee the smooth transfer of the brand from South Africa. It was my job to hit the ground running and to implement new processes and systems without having a gap in the seasonal development. This position was design heavy and also rewarded my intrinsically motivated entrepreneurial and problem solving drive. 

• Independently handling all aspects of design, inspiration boards, illustrations/flats, colors, styling, treatments, repeat patterns, apparel graphics, labels, hang tags, and other branding as needed.

• Create design briefs for freelance designer and oversee changes and communication
• Work directly with the technical designer
• Attend fittings to ensure accurate design execution
• Oversee sample development process and communication with overseas vendors
• Present line to CEO and CFO for approval
• Style and shoot the line for look books
• Plan annual calendar. Maintain WIP reports
• Answer phones, collection calls to buyers and boutiques
