In my own words

I’m a graphic artist and father of two wonderful boys (2 and 7) living in beautiful Savannah, GA.

Originally hailing from West Virginia, I lived in Asheville, North Carolina for nearly 18 years before moving to coastal Georgia in 2016. Living on the coast is pretty great, but the mountains are in my blood.

Since as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be an artist, and would draw and create every chance I could get. My first exposure to graphic design came from reading skateboarding magazines as a teenager, and I was fascinated by how the photos, graphics and typography were composed on a page to create an advertisement. While attending art school at West Virginia State University I discovered a passion for the graphic arts, and creating visual art and design on a computer came naturally to me.

Printmaking has also become a recent self-taught love of mine. The carving of my images into linoleum blocks and printing on paper or fabric is such an exhilarating process for me. Printmaking summons the “artsy” side of me that I need in life.

My true self and happy place is when I’m submersed in nature and engaged in outdoor activities. I draw inspiration and positive energy from that each day. Some of my favorite things to do outside are mountain biking (anything bikes!), hiking, camping/backpacking, snowboarding, paddling, caving and fishing.

Implement design strategies for multi-media marketing campaigns including advertising, RFQ’s, trade show, press releases, signage, website and social media. copy writing, editing and quality assurance. Created and maintained/updated company website, develop graphics for current and client websites. Develop design and updates for multiple large trade-show exhibit pieces.

Responsible for graphic design and branding of all marketing materials and assistance in special advertising section design for the marketing and advertising departments for a regional daily newspaper. Lead creative designer for advertising department. Lead graphic designer for Blue Mountain Living Magazine.

Graphic design for large format print signage, and assist in overall sign production and installation.

Responsible for creative direction and graphic design for all marketing and advertising materials for nine college campuses. Responsibilities included graphic design for weekly newspaper advertising, billboard design, recruitment and annual brochures, and specific education discipline brochures. Various website graphics, photography and managing files on internal servers. Worked closely with the marketing director and college president on conceptual designs and ongoing/future marketing campaigns.
