Assistant Product Development Manager - Women’s Knits

I am very passionate about product development and delivering superior products in an efficient and cost-effective way. For the past three years, I have worked in the merchandising and design departments of the swim and apparel industry's most iconic brands, such as Roxy, Billabong, and my current company, Add-Black. At Add-Black, I develop private label swimwear for a major mass-market retailer.  Along with product development, my responsibilities include managing all print and color approvals as well as negotiating costing.  Prior to my employment at Add-Black, I majored in Apparel Merchandising and Management with a minor in Marketing Management at Cal. Poly. Pomona. Throughout my college career, I was very active in the AMM department and was on the executive board as well as President of Fashion Society, a club that focused on exposing students to the fashion industry through guest speakers, field trips, and the production of our annual fashion show.  Along with fashion, I am passionate about snowboarding, surfing, and the outdoors. 

- Communicating with overseas factories and mills daily and ensuring deadlines
are on target
- Negotiating product costing with factories
- Sourcing new fabric 
- Assembling and sending development packages to factories and mills
- Creating and maintaining color and print tracking charts and proto development charts
- Managing all strike-off, lab-dip, and hardware approvals 
- Maintaining color and fabric binders with swatches, detail sheets, and test results
- Logging and organizing all development samples received and sent
- Uploading and managing color library in PLM system

Product Development Assistant

Set up styles in PLM system, updated line sheets using Adobe Illustrator, organized samples, assembled color cards, and provided other assistance to Women's Merchandising and Design department.

Assisted in visual merchandising and styled customers.

Set up styles in PLM system, conducted trend research, and created and updated line sheets using Adobe Illustrator.
