In My Own Words
My passion for apparel and softgoods started early as I grew up in Utah's mountain and desert environment. As an outdoor sport and fitness enthusiast I have always had an interest in the apparel and gear I buy and wear. This interest lead me to become a designer and seek to innovate and create new designs for others like me who seek outdoor and fitness products that are innovative, aesthetic and functional. The most valuable skills I have learned through work experience and design school are the different aspects of design thinking. This includes utilizing an empathetic approach and a structured creative process, as well as thorough market research and ideation to arrive at a final product solution. Not only is my passion just design but in how I can bring design thinking into business and make an impact through a deep understanding of the consumer, innovation, risk mitigation, marketing, branding and sustainability.
