In My Own Words

After working as a designer, web developer and video editor for nearly a decade, I'm looking to combine my passion for cycling with my talent for tech and design to make a new career in the Outdoor industry. Networking at cycling events, managing my own website for unicyclists (oddcycle.com), and working with my local IMBA chapter is where my heart is and I like to think this has been great practice for things to come. I'm disciplined and have a strong work ethic, so I'm able to work effectively from home, on the road, or anywhere my travels may take me. Being knowledgeable about product, answering questions and just talking about gear is something I am good at and I really enjoy getting face-to-face with the consumer. I'm tech savvy and have nearly a decade of practical experience building websites, managing clients and working special events, so as long as I have my laptop and a wifi connection, I'm working for you!

After helping the guys at OzTech tackle many complicated and high-profile events as a freelance vendor, I was invited to join their team as the Art Director where I have been involved in every aspect of the planning and execution of dozens of multi-media activations and social media campaigns for brands.

As the Art Director, web master, chairperson and trail builder for ESIMBA, I get to combine my passion for bikes and design and create work that helps make a difference. I love this club and put my heart into the work we do for the community. We are a small crew, so we rely on our website and social media to get our word out and rally support. This is where I shine.

I've been working as UX/UI designer and web developer on projects for Under Armour, MLB and the Baltimore Ravens for about a year now. Working freelance allows me time to concentrate on my unicyclist website (oddcycle.com) while simultaneously gaining industry experience and expanding my repertoire. The clients I have now require a lot of travel to and from events all over the country, but I do most of my work from home.
