* Manage development of all Soft Goods and Accessories including: Bags, Headwear, Apparel, Wallets, Belts and Small Leather Goods.  

* Create and track the development schedule of products to ensure a timely completion following the Go-To-Market calendar, utilizing time management and communications skills to meet deadlines. Understand, help create and track tooling calendars, as needed.  

* Manage the development process of products that meet company/corporate target margin goals, while maintaining design intent and quality.  

* Ensure both the technical superiority and the product quality/integrity of all products falling under their responsibilities. 

* Value-engineer products by analyzing BOMs and recommending materials and construction techniques to impact cost throughout development 

* Partner with domestic and overseas product and material sourcing manufacturers to develop new materials, construction techniques, processes, costing, and samples.  

* Contribute to sustainability projects related to product materials, construction, function, and manufacturing. 

* Assist in product development with a primary focus on accessories including: Bags, Backpacks, Handbags, Wallets, Headwear, Belts, Athletic Equipment, Legwear, Audio and Tech. 

*Work with licensors and retailers to ensure sample submissions requirements and deadlines were met and within target costs. 

* Communicate with national and international suppliers and production facilities.

* Maintain costing and create cost sheets for all products. 

* Track, review, provide revisions and approvals for all product samples.

* Daily communication with factories to keep calendars aligned. 

* Maintain current development statuses to ensure timely delivery of products. 

* Work with design and costing teams to execute product from concept to final sample.

* Facilitate product sample ordering and distribution. 

Product Development Coordinator

* Monitor work in progress and expedited orders.

* Review Purchase Orders and create Bills of Material.

* Perform data entry for packing slips and international shipping documents.

* Train and oversee new employees on systems and processes.
