The Greener Blue (2010-2012) was a network of surf-focused green bloggers and green-focused surf bloggers engaging visitors with a broad spectrum of information about ocean related environmental issues and causes as well as a platform to showcase all the sustainable ideas and products from the surf industry.

Incorporated years of experience in retail and e-commerce, deep research into consumer trends and behavior, to formulate a business plan that melds passions for surfing and the environment. Designed thegreenerblue.com and worked closely with website developers to make the vision a reality. Built partnerships with 50+ industry brands, 30+ retail affiliates and 20+ independent bloggers. Developed program with “green” and traditional surfboard builders and material suppliers for informational portal and exclusive e-tail sales of “greener” surfboards. Constructed collaborative partnership programs with major (surf) non-profits, media groups, and large, non-endemic, brands. Crafted custom affiliate programs and banner ad business. Managed all content across web resources, website and social media.

We are an ever-expanding group of like-minded individuals whose collective conscience struggles with the suffering that so many of the worlds children are forced to endure. Becker is one of the largest and most storied “core” surf retailers in Southern California with beginnings in Hermosa Beach, CA in 1980 and now encompassing 4 storefronts. Beckersurf.com is the on-line arm of Becker Surfboards going live in 1997 to become one the earliest and most successful surf retailers on the web.

Over 10 years utilized appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive unit from the ground up to facilitate the completion of team goals and to promote superior communication amongst peers, customers, and vendors. Responsibilities included overseeing the development and optimization of online content and targeted marketing promotions - email, SEM, affiliate, EDI, online media, social media, and other acquisition and customer retention programs - as well as oversight for key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting tools for continuous site and campaign optimization. Managed and negotiated logistics - transportation, shipping and supply chain - activities and agreements. Planned and monitored daily staffing schedules of customer service and warehouse departments adjusting accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that supported operational demands and business objectives.

Key accomplishments:

- Lead team to grow annual sales from $200,000 to multi-millions.
- Key advisor on the development of 3 proprietary e-commerce

Nova was the largest eikaiwa (English language school) in Japan.; Worked to improve conversational English for students from pre-teens to octogenarians.  Developed lesson plans for 8 classes/day with 1-4 students per class as well as for 1 "free talk" period with up to 20+ students. Students ranged from beginners to high fluency.
