TECHNICAL DESIGNER - 2D/3D PATTERN MAKER – 3D DESIGNER/PROTOTYPING Goal: Is to incorporate my passion and skills utilizing best practices to assist the transition from traditional to digital 2D/3D design and tailoring, utilizing new technology to assist and streamline the time and overall cost of the Design Development Process in a sustainable, efficient, and profitable workflow. Pattern-Making, Fit Technician Expertise: Mastery in Pattern-making blocks, new, correct existing patterns, and fit- including grading and manufacturing methods and construction techniques to make for multiple products. 3D Prototyping: Proficient in 3D modeling and skills such as simulation, 3D printing, textiles, rendering. Process and Leadership: I am a humble, self-motivated team player, proactive problem-solver, with experience and understanding of the product development, manufacturing, and commercialization process a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to shift priorities when need it, and work independently. Website: www.virtual-fitting.studio • Ability to developed pattern blocks/patterns for design/prototypes in 2D and 3D • Collaborate and assist cross-functional teams in transitioning from traditional to digital 2D/3D Design • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in the best practices to implement 3D processes across brands and product categories. • Develop and ensure brand blocks size, grade, and fit consistency across product categories. • Lead, document, and coach teams during fit sessions from prototype to production on the live or 3D model. • Effectively communicate fit intent to vendors for bulk production while maintaining corporate standards. • Collaborates with technical teams to create a new advanced concept/s in 2D and 3D Designs. • Create and maintain a virtual fabric library to be used in the 3D sample process. • Ensure blocks to size, grade, and fit consistency within the brand and across product categories. • Collaborates with Design and Technical Design teams to develop new pattern blocks and constructions techniques, to create innovative ideas and products utilizing 2D patterns and 3D Design simulation. • Ability to review 3D jump size set to identify potential fit and aesthetic issues to ensure production, quality, and cost issues and make recommendations to ensure brand appearance and construction integrity. • Ability to collaborate with in house design teams, product developers, and buyers to complete presentation ready 3D drawings/virtual samples for buyers to modify as necessary along the product life cycle. • Ability to reduce sample iteration by collaborates and assist Tech Design teams in creating 2D and 3D Design. • Proactively collaborates and works with 3rd party buyers thru the adoption process on revisions. • Track and manage workflow and workload for own product to ensure product areas maintained with cross-functional teams; gather information and update reports necessary for meetings. • Align brands and cross-functional teams' visual standards related to product fit (live or virtual), grading, and construction.
