In My Own Words
My name is Marc, and I'm an industrial designer. I'm an innovator, strategic problem solver, and adventurer. My passion is designing and creating beautiful objects. Currently I am looking for a full time position where I can grow. My friends call me MarcGyver because I can come up with a solution to every problem, and I can make amazing prototypes with whatever is available. As a designer, I focus heavily on functionality, but that doesn't mean my creations are bulky or thoughtless. I work well alone, but even better in a collaborative environment. As a team member, I am a great asset because of my tenacity and adaptability. I am a quick learner, and I love to put my skills to the test every chance I get.
Work Experience
Industrial Designer
MarcGyver Design2014 – Present
Since before my senior year of college I have been doing contract work for companies around the United States. I generally sketch on cintiq, 3D model in Rhino or Solidworks, rapid prototype, and send my work to be fabricated within an agreed period of time.
Designer / Bartender
The Rail Pub2013 – 2015
Created various promotional banners for events. Served high volume adult beverages.
Industrial Designer
SCADpad2014 – 2014
Designed products and built prototypes placed in each of the SCADpad tiny homes. The project received The World Architecture News (WAN) Urban Design Award 2014 IIDA 2015 b.o.b. (Best of the Best) Forum Design Award 2014 AIA Georgia Design Award 2014 CIDA Award of Excellence Honorable Mention

Collaborated in an NDA protected project designing products for the JCB line of excavators.
