As a men’s designer, I’m responsible for creating exceptional and functional mens collegiate, active and outdoor apparel. Designer Create and develop three lines under Colosseum including Realtree (Outdoor & Fishing line) and Colosseum Active (Active line) and Colosseum College (Collegiate line) from conceptualization to completion of garments under tight schedule. Collaborate with Research and Development team in developing color story and determining color standards; present information to the Product Development Manager. Build detailed tech packs from visuals to detail and art pages; monitor completeness and accuracy of tech package information concerning color, model, size, fabric and trim quality, and construction. Oversee that every detail, from fabric and trim selection up to editing, is strictly examined to ensure perfect fit of garments and high quality finished product. Held responsible for updating sketches, visual pages, and tech packs; accounted for sample revisions, fitting approvals. Work with head of department to coordinate fabric and trim development. Oversee the approval of fabrics, trims and print strike-offs throughout the design development process. Research markets to identify trends, new fabrics and construction techniques. Analyzed designs and assessed them to come up with enhanced solutions. Assist the head designer before and during sales meetings. Extensively research creative ideas and provide design input into relevant collections. Prepare artworks and all artwork information for Product Development hand off. Keeping product development on track and in line with development schedule.

Discuss design specifications with designers, and convert their original models of custom bedding pieces into patterns that can be laid out on a length of fabric. Responsible for creating spec sheets with all dimensions and measurements, and sketches of the bedding pieces, as well as making changes to the prototype of the bedding, based on the head designer's request.
