Responsible for all public relation efforts within the company for TransWorld brands including writing and distributing press releases, acting as media contact person, managing and updating industry media lists, and overseeing third party PR services. Additional PR duties included: inviting and managing press at awards shows and events, uploading releases to newswires & distributing via custom HTML e-newsletter templates as well as across social media channels. Coordinated employee relation events and company-wide meetings.

Awarded a job-share study program opportunity through Bonnier Publishing AB in Sweden to work and live in England as an international sales and marketing associate and US copy editor for TransWorld Media’s sister company, Autumn Publishing. Responsible for updating all production schedules for the international sales department, coordinated and shipped all products to clients and book fairs, managed book fair schedule for sales reps and clients, educated and implemented social media campaigns to the marketing staff, and copy edited all Autumn books into American English for overseas sales opportunities. 

Presented to Autumn Publishing staff about TransWorld Media, as well as conducted a case-study on international booksellers and presented to Autumn’s VP of Sales. Also presented about the experience to TransWorld Media staff upon returning.

Hired on with three roles: Server/bartender for The Grille and snack bar, Beverage Cart Attendant on the greens, and a catering server during private events. Acquired an in-depth knowledge of the golfing industry including course etiquette, customer service, and restaurant management.

Server/Bartender

Responsible for interacting with new clients, establishing accounts tailored to each client In-depth knowledge of rules and regulations of checking, savings, Roth IRA accounts, etc. Duties included balancing money, scanning in checks, servicing a customer with all appropriate paperwork from beginning to end when opening any type of accounts including personal and business, counting and closing out vault money, continuing educational training on new banking options for clients, and following up with existing clients on overdue accounts, bounced checks, and deposits.

New Accounts Representative

Worked in the sales and ultimately management department and managed a staff of 5 within the watch department of fashion jewelry. Received “Top Tier” awards for highest sales in the department in 2004. Successfully received quarterly bonuses for exceeding budgeted goals four quarters in a row. Successfully improved overall department merchandising techniques by working closely with the buyers, creating trunk shows with vendors and instilling sales incentives among the staff.

Assistant Manager

Assisted the physical therapists with daily patient exercises and therapy modalities. Certified to assist with aquatic therapy as well for all non-weight bearing injury rehab. Daily duties also included confirming patient appointments, completing daily patient paperwork, and cleaning and stocking patient rooms.

Physical Therapy Assistant

Retail sales, merchandising, customer service and product buying. Oversaw all retail merchandising and customer service for the entire retail floor. Stocked and merchandised clothing racks and tables daily, and helped customers with locating specific items both on the floor or at additional Sports Chalet locations. Assisted customers with fitting rooms and finding additional sizes or alternate items. Also worked the eyewear counter, showing customers the wide variety of sunglasses.
