In my own words
— KirstenI’m Kirsten—pronounced “kurr-stin,” but it’s okay if you get it wrong (I’m used to it!).
Since graduating from the College for Creative Studies, I’ve worked in-house for a retail brand and at ad agencies. Each position I held reaffirmed why I began a career in design: to find visual solutions to problems that not only look nice, but are thoughtful and give people warm fuzzies. Feb 2017 — May 2017
Designer/Art Director · PUSH 22
Worked on a wide range of projects for various clients including web banners, print ads, direct mailers, e-mails, flyers, and billboards in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and staying on top of deadlines is key. Daily tasks included ad resizing, photo editing, following brand guidelines, and copy edits.
May 2014 — Jan 2017
Graphic Designer · Moosejaw
I work with a team of 3 other designers to brainstorm and design fun and quirky concepts for Moosejaw's marketing and social presence. I take the concepts and turn them into emails, website assets, posters, stickers, vinyl decals, catalogs...just to name a few. When necessary (which is most of the time!), I work with our photographers to direct the photoshoots for our marketing projects. I also design graphics for Moosejaw brand apparel and accessories that are available for purchase online and in stores.
