RALPH LAUREN, LAUREN LINE: This is when I started focusing on Women's wear and a true corporate environment. I oversaw all costing, fabric development, trim development, quality control and all aspects of fit.

This was my first job in Product Development. This was also when I first learned to travel overseas for work. I went to India and Hong Kong. I worked with out factories on a daily basis, helped with costing and learned negotiation on both cost and construction. I learned how to look at lab dips, fabric swatches, learn how stitch came into costing, excel spreadsheets, budgets, and most importantly, calendar deadlines.

This was my first job out of college. I started my design internship with Nautica while in college and when I graduated, they hired me as a Design Assistant. My job consisted of hand drawn sketches, fittings, design updates, and technical understanding.
