Assistant Store Manager | 10/2018 - Current
In this role I have been able to teach as much as I have learned. I have been able to utilize my knowledge of merchandising gained in previous roles, to tie in with product
knowledge, creating sections for specific consumers. I have also been able to continue expanding our team's knowledge of skate, surf, snow, and lifestyle shoes and apparel with in depth product knowledge sessions and quizzes each week. This has led to our store being one of the highest stores on the west coast for survey scores and customer satisfaction.
The thing I have gained most from this role is testing new product as well as hosting corporate visits, which helps better integrate knowledge from a store to corporate level, as
well as increase my knowledge of Vans as a big picture business.
• Merchandises the store on a monthly basis to ensure maximum exposure of product as well as shift product according to previous week's sales, including
adaptations to adjust for extra space and sell-through
• Responsible for hosting corporate visits for various levels of company, showcasing store standards, team development, and occasionally training
corporate employees on daily business processes in order to streamline corporate to store processes and communication
• Responsible for adjusting sales tactics to accommodate low sales categories and find where we have the most opportunity for growth as a team

Floor Supervisor | 09/2017 - 10/2018
Being promoted within the same store I began at gave e the opportunity to learn how to establish myself as a leader amongst my peers, as well as develop leadership qualities
centered on leading from example. I was able to use my knowledge of running shoe support and durability, and tie it into Vans product knowledge, to help our team develop an in
depth understanding of our product superior to that of other locations. I also learned a lot about day to day company operations as well as how to see our store as a part of a bigger piece of the puzzle that is VF Corp.
• Introduced product knowledge challenges for all employees to create thorough knowledge of all products within store
• Division of responsibility within store focused around business operations: breaking down weekly numbers, and key performance indicators to adjust
business focus for the following week as well as make it understandable for associates to track business
• Secondary division of responsibility centered on managing the skate section of the store and tracking the organization and sales method behind selling
skate product. Additionally trained staff in how to approach building as well as selling skateboards and how we can create a moment with customers and make a Vans fan for life

Sales Associate | 06/2016 - 09/2017
iCON Sports Performance and Wellness Alliance
Special Projects/Marketing intern | 06/2015 - 08/2015
This role allowed me the opportunity to have complete control over a marketing makeover for this small sports and wellness gym. I found the best way to advertise agains their
largest competitor in the area, the UFC gym, as well as ways to center around their niche of action sports training. Over my time there I learned a lot about the importance of a unified front when adjusting the marketing for a family owned company, as well as how to identify key components of what marketing is making the brand successful, as opposed to what is draining its resources.
• Headed a full marketing makeover, including everything from advertising to referral programs
• Led social media redesign and introduced social media tracking software into company, resulting in an increase of website and page traffic by 15% and increase of social media interaction by 10% in only two months
• Implemented and created new quarterly newsletter to better engage clients
• Headed brand expansion within the action sports and fitness industry
• Established new business connections, and created new marketing techniques saving the company $1,500 dollars in advertising costs over a two month
period
