In My Own Words

I am a storyteller at heart, passionate about crafting emotionally resonant narratives through photography, writing, graphic design, and video production. Whether capturing a subject’s essence in a portrait, designing visuals that evoke feeling, or producing compelling video stories, my work is driven by authenticity and human connection. I bring a documentary sensibility to every project, seeking moments that reveal truth and emotion. Growing up in San Diego, I am a lifelong surfer and skater, and was shaped by the Southern California lifestyle. I believe in the power of storytelling to inspire action, and my mission as a creative professional is to create work that not only engages but truly moves people.

Kind Light Charleston

https://www.kindlightcharleston.com/

Kind Light Charleston is more than a portrait brand—it’s a mission-driven business built on the power of human connection. Through my work, I aim to bring out the best in people, capturing their essence with authenticity and depth. Each portrait is more than an image; it’s a story, a reflection of identity, and a testament to the unique energy found in every individual.

Leading Kind Light Charleston has strengthened my ability to connect with people on a meaningful level, honing my skills in storytelling, brand-building, and business management. Balancing creative vision with operational demands, I handle everything from client relationships to marketing and logistics, ensuring the brand remains true to its mission. This experience has deepened my understanding of how storytelling can shape perception, foster empathy, and create lasting impact—both in art and business.

Birds of the Lowcountry

https://birdsofthelowcountry.com/

Birds of the Lowcountry is a fine art brand that celebrates the beauty and elegance of coastal birdlife through photography and design. My role encompasses every aspect of the creative and business process—from capturing striking imagery to designing and producing high-quality prints, calendars, greeting cards, and bookmarks. Each piece is crafted to resonate with nature lovers, art collectors, and those who appreciate the unique wildlife of the Lowcountry.

Building this brand has strengthened my ability to define a mission-driven identity, identify and connect with specific audiences, and navigate the fine art market. Beyond the creative work, I manage product development, eCommerce operations, and order fulfillment, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Through Birds of the Lowcountry, I’ve learned how to translate artistic vision into a sustainable business while maintaining the integrity of my work, creating a brand that is both meaningful and marketable.
