- Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive community outreach program emphasizing disaster preparedness and community response; coordinate disaster preparedness programs for businesses, schools, medical groups, homeowners’ associations, and community groups; - Coordinate community preparedness education and training materials; develop and implement lesson plans and teach emergency response courses to various communities, business, and residential groups; plan and facilitate emergency preparedness events and drills; - Assist in providing information to the public and media concerning Fire Department programs, services, and activities; develop a variety of print and media communications, including newsletters, website updates, social media, press releases and memoranda; - Assist in researching grant opportunities and draft grant proposals; coordinate, administer and track community education grants; - Participate on a variety of committees; work with City departments and outside agencies on a variety of fire support services in relation to community preparedness services; - Answer questions and provide information to the public; receive and investigate complaints and recommend corrective action; coordinate department-wide events, tours and ride-along requests

Official Spokesperson for the Newport Beach Fire Department and Social Media Manager

As a beach lifeguard I am expected to respond efficiently and effectively to emergency situations in the water and on the beach. This varies from in water rescues to medical aids on the sand. I educate the public on local knowledge, beach safety, and answer various questions they have. Being a beach lifeguard has taught me great customer service skills, the ability to realize the big picture, and how to always come to work prepared.

Manage the Instagram and Facebook pages for the Newport Beach Lifeguard Department and Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program. I take photos and videos daily while posting 5-15 times a day during the summer, while building calendars throughout the year to post 2-3 times a week. I also help provide content to different entities in the city and video companies

Through my time at the Boys and Girls Club, I worked to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. I worked on the floor with the kids and led them in different activities. I assisted in their biggest event of the year, The Valentines Gala, which raised $120,000 for the organization. During this event, I managed 40-50 volunteers on set up and tear down of the hall, job assignments and delegating tasks, and managing all volunteers during the event.

I worked along side the head coach instructing kids ages 5-18 on stroke and diving technique, conditioning, and sprints. I often led practices alone as the head coach and worked with up to 100 kids. My time as a coach allowed me to learn better customer service and communication skills with parents and children, how to run a team, and how to always maintain a positive attitude.
