Assisted in gathering information for government/private grants along with local, state and federal funding for the preparedness, prevention, mitigation and recovery of potential disasters within the city. Also, I assisted in community outreach, worked with other agencies within Riverside County, solidified the readiness of the Emergency Operations Center and completed the updates for the Emergency Operations Plan. In addition, I also was able to outline all of the positions within the Emergency Operations Center and assist in filling those positions with current city employees.

Responded to 911 calls including, medical aids, fire suppression (wildland, structural), traffic collisions, Haz-Mat and various other public assistance calls. As a paramedic I was responsible for providing advanced life support when needed.

Assisted the full time faculty in the instruction of paramedic students as well as emergency medical technician students at Victor Valley College. In addition to lecture responsibilities included maintaining the supply lockup, creating instructional handouts/presentations, skills training, grading and skills testing.
