Associate Product Manager

Project Management

A curious designer, surfer, snowboarder and musician. Passionate about the environment and mental health awareness.

Technical designer/developer for sleeping bags, tents, and accessories. Managed styles across multiple categories, from tech-pack creation through sample development and production approvals. Worked closely with Tech Design Manager to manage sample tracking schedules, material information, and production specs for all current and future equipment product lines. Created full product specs for vendors, and maintained equipment specification library. Participated in team trips to test current/future gear and gather feedback for implementation. Worked closely with Senior industrial designer when choosing colors, trims, and fabrics for Spring 24 products. Managed cost BOM's to ensure products remained under target throughout development. Communicated with factories overseas to provide sample comments, cost-saving measures, timeline adjustments, and keep track of material MOQ's. Scaled graphic artwork for printing on fabric, as well as reviewing/approving strike-off's and lab dips to match color standards. Collaborated with sourcing and planning to work towards sustainability goals, as well as implementing emerging technologies and resources into product.

Technical Designer

Created technical specifications for spring '22 and '23 tents. Responsible for sample tracking, measurement, approval, and communication with overseas factories to improve products for production. Updated product libraries, specs, materials, and cost BOM's in PLM system. Participated in concept brainstorms, material research, and design process for new lines of tents, sleeping bags, and accessories.

Technical Designer - Equipment at Marmot

Human factors engineering and usability intern. Responsible for study execution, reporting, data analysis, and client presentations for surgical instruments and drug-delivery products.

Human Factors Research Intern

Designed user interfaces for myQ connected products; Collaborated with a small team of UX/UI designers, product designers, and engineers to develop a concept for a future product based on user needs, emerging tech, and business strategy.

UXUI Design Co-op

Full Time Design Intern on Playskool Heroes Team. Supported concept ideation, costume colorways/trend research, CAD input and designing features for Marvel/Power Rangers/Rescue Bots toys.

Product Design Co-op

During my time as a competitive wakeboarder, I was also an instructor of private individual and group lessons for all skill levels - from first timers, to learning turns, to freestyle lessons.  Organized group events, operated the cable system, general maintenance, and POS retail.
