In my own words
— JoeyHey there, I'm Joey.
Growing up in the Northwest, I’ve been surrounded by the board sport industry. I spent most of my years skateboarding in the Portland metro area, starting when I was 5 years old. I later went on to compete in contests, winning The Concrete Rodeo locally and The Zumiez Best Foot Forward in Portland. I was supported by Etnies, RVCA, Ashbury, Dakine, and many other brands at the time.
When the rain came, you could find me snowboarding Mt. Hood or coaching surfing at Sansara Resort in Cambutal, Panama. Today, I reside on the Oregon Coast.
I made a career for myself in retail working for EVO Portland for 4 years and Cleanline Surf Shop.
My passion and exposure to the board sport industry has allowed me many opportunities to establish life long relationships, work trade shows, pop-ups, sales, as well as athlete/talent and production experience. I am very grateful to be able to put products to the test with my abilities on the board. I am a people person and love to nerd out about the latest and greatest product. These days, I fill my time with the launch of my own business, Uncle Joey’s LLC, coaching young kids how to skate/surf. I am also in the trade working as a carpentry apprentice for Clark Built.
I am interested in expanding my skill sets and experience in the industry seeking a remote job for the coming months to keep the stoke alive over the phone/inter-web.
