Hi my name is Joana!

 I have a huge passion for creating content and developing strategies that will grow your business.

My past work experience has been in very different industries as a marketing or social media coordinator. I want to continue growing my marketing and social media career with a company that I can continue to grow and see my ideas and campaigns come to life.

As for my future, I hope to one day work as a full time photographer to create eye-catching content and work with a diverse team! 

 In my free time, you can find me playing soccer, golfing, skating, taking photos (mostly experimenting with film photos), enjoying the beach and enjoying road trips when possible!

My greatest strengths are around photography, such as Lightroom, Premiere Pro, social media strategy with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Tik-Tok, and Pinterest.

-Collaborates with the Social Media Manager to strategize and schedule weekly social media posts using Asana, planning three weeks in advance during our regular weekly meetings. 
-Creates diverse content, including social media posts, Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and Tweets for Helen Woodward Animal Center's social media accounts. 
-Plays a key role in promoting adoptable pups and kittens for the Adoption department by crafting engaging and informative content. 
-Takes responsibility for photographing and video recording weekly incoming intakes from rescue partners, capturing approximately 2-3 arrivals each week. 
-Manages the creation of monthly newsletters (Volunteer, Education, and Main) using MailChimp, and produces a monthly blog on the website. 
-Updates all Website Requests through Wordpress on a weekly basis.
-Maintains and updates the website with all Press Releases, Follow the Litter Blog and the Quarterly Companion Magazine.
-Continues the role of photographing and generating content for all events hosted by the Center throughout the year.
-Oversee and coordinate partnerships with influencers and celebrities for the Hollywood Beauty Awards and Remember Me Thursday events. 

Public Relations:
-Collaborated closely with the PR Director and Manager to provide support for live news coverage at the Center. 
-Conducted quarterly visits to KUSI News, participating in the Sunday segment featuring an adoptable pet. Actively engaged in showcasing the selected puppy at the News Station, discussing the pet and highlighting ongoing events at the Center.
-Took charge of managing the Pet of the Week and KUSI News Pet of the Week initiatives. Assisted in capturing and posting content on social media, while also coordinating the dissemination of pet information to various news outlets.
-Played a pivotal role during the Surf Dog event by conducting interviews with all contestants at the Step and Repeat. Operated the video camera to capture compelling interviews and gathered content for distribution to news outlets.


Social Media:
-Initiated and developed the Tuesday Tails series, dedicated to showcasing pets residing in the center for over 30 days. Crafts engaging video content to provide viewers with a more personal connection. 
-Collaborates with Animal Care Technicians (ACTs) to gather insightful information for the Tuesday Tails series.
-Contributed to the Social Media team by assisting with posts across various platforms throughout the week. Ensured consistent and engaging content to enhance the organization's online presence.
-Took on the responsibility of photographing all events hosted by Helen Woodward Animal Center, capturing memorable moments to showcase the organization's activities. 
-photographed and recorded weekly intakes, showcasing all new arrivals.

PR & Social Media Coordinator

Events:
- Asserted event timelines for the sales team and marketing team for all planning assets.
-Managed all products to be sent and arrive in a timely matter, with concise and clear direction for each tradeshow event.
- Planned and executed domestic + international travel for the Sales Representatives.
-Fostered positive relationships with team of external business development team for swag giveaways.

Email Marketing:
-Created a monthly internal Employee Newsletter through MailChimp. 

Social Media:
- Managed all LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter Airgain brand accounts. 
- Maintained positive brand image online with customer service and active social media brand presence.
- Increased engagement on LinkedIn by 2% in the last 30 days. 
- Increased page views on Facebook by 6%, post outreach by 690%, and engagement by 420% in the last 30 days.
- Increased tweet impressions by 15.3%, profile visits by 25.6%, and mentions were up to 133.3% in the last 30 days.

Marketing Coordinator

Social Media:
- Managed all Instagram and Facebook accounts for CHW brand. 
-Developed content for social media platforms to 1,139 Instagram followers and 2,384 Facebook followers, increasing followers by 30% (Instagram) and 13% (Facebook).  
- Maintained positive brand image online with customer service and active social media brand presence.
-Collaborated with teams including Achieve and HR via WorkBoard to produce content which has led to 16% increase in content engagements on Instagram, 81% on Facebook and 39% on LinkedIn. 

Email Marketing:
-Updated and emailed monthly newsletters to over 6,000 recipients and increased email response rate by 23%.

Marketing Manager

-Created email marketing campaigns and landing pages with the use of HubSpot.
