ThorMX packaging design

ThorMX Packaging 2016-2017 - I was the lead on packaging redesign across all product lines for 2016-2017 at ThorMX. I spent a great deal of time evaluating our current packaging and also scrutinizing the retail environment and competitor landscape. I also visited several dealers to hear their personal input on the package design and durability to better inform the redesign process. My findings showed that the predominantly black coloring of the old packaging caused the product to disappear into the busy surroundings, and some of our designs had difficulty holding up to the stresses of the retail environment. I remedied these issues with strategic large splashes of ThorMX official yellow so our product would pop, and utilizing new materials and processes for increased durability. My design responsibilities included field research, packaging evaluation, concepts and revisions, prototyping, tech pack building and revisions as necessary.

Troy Lee Designs Catalog design

Troy Lee Designs Mountain Bike Catalog 2013 - The 2013 MTB product line upped the ante with a brand new trail helmet to the market and some of the freshest kits seen yet for trail, downhill and BMX. I chose to change up the styling from last years layout so aggressive riding shots and flying colors would take dominance on the page. Seeing the gear in action and in the environment is a proven formula for exciting readers to buy and ride, and this catalog was no exception. I was responsible for everything except behind the camera lens. Creative direction, pagination, lay out, graphic design, photo manipulation and retouching, photoshoot organization, printing files prep and more. You can view the entire catalog here: http://www.troyleedesigns.com/2013_fall/bicycle/intl/ Or through the TLD App here: https://itunes.apple.com/app/troy-lee-designs/id496883338?mt=8 Photo credits: Echo Factory, Garth Milan, Craig "Stikman" Claspell, Masa Shirotani
