West Coast Marketing Ambassador | 11/2015 - 03/2016

I started at SPY as a the West Coast Marketing Ambassador. My duties were to activate and assist with any number of tasks. I've worked many types of events in my time here and have been all across the country several times. I've driven the company RV cross-country on multiple occasions solo and multiple times with other marketing ambassadors. The events I've work range from pop-up shops at NASCAR races, snow goggle demo tours, motocross races (amateur and Pro), college campus activations, surf events, retail sales events, and many more. I've assisted with providing our reps with the supplies they need as well as planning and executing strategic activations with them in their territories. Often times I've had to work events solo in addition to many hours on the road solo going from activation to activation within my region. This portion of my job quickly made me become resourceful and independent out on the road which has now made me confident in leaving at a moments notice to go work any event, any time. On multiple occasions I've been responsible for transporting and selling large quantities of product through various sales/marketing initiatives. I have learned to work within budgets to plan and execute activations for specific segments. As the hands and feet of the company I've had to work directly with our consumers and retailers to provide excellent product knowledge, service, and support. Working closely with the product I have taken seriously my duty to become an expert on our range of technical offerings across all channels. I take pride in staying current with my knowledge in addition to seeking additional information whenever possible. I have seen my knowledge and communication skills lead directly to sales in the field which is not only rewarding but is something that I enjoy doing.
