Provide graphic design assistance, product design, branding and trend direction to companies and individuals primarily in the home decor, fashion accessories and sporting goods industries. Clients Include: Nordstrom, The TJX Companies, Wayfair, Target, and Fashion Snoops

2010 – 2015

•In-house print and pattern designer for TJX licensed and private label brand identities. •While under my design direction, sales of reusable shopping bags tripled for three consecutive years. •Managed contractors’ and freelancers’ workload and provided design direction. •Travelled with buyers domestically and internationally for trade shows and to shop for trend. •Work closely with buyers to design new products for various hard home divisions including reusable bags, wall art, mirrors, clocks, fragrance (candles, holders, and lanterns), storage, home office, giftware, and furniture. Saw products from inception and design through the approval process. Responsible for quality control and communicating with vendors and agents in order to get the desired product. •Packaging and hangtag design. •Calendars, tracking, and budget responsibilities. •Visited showrooms domestically and internationally to check on development, make corrections, and buy product for the upcoming season.

•Employed by the The Alliance for Artisan Enterprise and ByHand Consulting. •Designed textiles for home and apparel in collaboration with Zardozi Artisans. The collection was produced by Zardozi, a women’s cooperative Pakistan. •Shown at the 2013 and 2014 New York Gift Show. Sold to retailers such as ABC Carpet & Home and Raven + Lily.
