Head of Design

Reporting to Design Director, I had to lead a team of eight 3D-Designers, from senior to junior level. Making sure we delivered 120% of expectations. Daily tasks were approaching different kind of projects, from Master Design to smaller tasks such adaptations projects. Sometimes on my own, or teaming up with the Design Director. Regular presentations to client would take place, online and offline, sometimes together with international teams in different locations. International Market, clients coming from all over the world, fields such F&B, FMCG, Cosmetics, Luxury Goods… Wide variety of Business. I created this small Design Studio in response to numerous exciting projects that were coming, together with clients, eager to go far beyond. As a result of my previous work in Dolmenchina, a lot of clients wanted to keep working with me, because they were very satisfied with the work we developed. Being responsible of your own company makes you develop skills such Project Manager, Quality Supervisor, Team Manager, Purchasing, Accounting, and everything else required to achieve successful results. Depending on the project size and scope, I would work alone, or team up with collaborators such product managers, team managers, marketing specialists and/or architects, with whom I worked regularly.

Branding, Packaging, Events, Trade-shows etc. for a wide variety of industries.

The goal was to create a Design Studio into a medium sized international company just landed in Shanghai, dedicated to creative production such printing in rigid materials, custom made cnc / laser cut decoration, large format printing, signages etc. This new market required not only production, but creativity. That’s why they had the need of having a design team. Therefore, had to interview and create a team of five designers and a Marketing Specialist to give response to that growing business of creation. Aside from the design tasks, I also had to help and supervise the sales managers strategy, training them to better understand the client’s needs and develop a more successful work. I reported directly to the General Manager in China.

A 1 year contract opportunity that brought me to China, to create and develop the company's branding, products, marketing and everything related to their visual communication. We managed brands and products related to the car aesthetics. Reporting to the General Manager, my work would include Art Direction, Graphic Design, Editorial, Photography, Packaging, Product Design & Development, Trade Shows Booth Design. Working closely with General Manager, Product Manager and Purchasing Managers.

Small companies with big expectations and usually small budget. What makes the challenge even bigger. I learned a lot about project management, budget constrictions, client’s management, presentations, problem solving. Great experience.

Europe’s leader for more than 10 years.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, my work would include Art Direction, Graphic Design, Editorial, Photography, Packaging, Product Design & Development, Trade Shows Booth Design. Working closely with Product and Purchasing Manager. I created the guidelines of the company’s branding that would be followed for the next few years, holistic modern and clear communication in all the touch points, elevating the brand among competitors. I also helped setting up a photography studio that made their sales much more attractive.

Art Director - Graphic Designer

The company was and Advertising Agency that had projects for national companies, 32th America’s Cup (which Valencia’s City hosted) among them. As a fresh graduated Graphic Designer I developed all kind of visual communication such as visual identity, brochures, flyers etc. Reporting to the Art Director, I worked closely with Account Executives and Strategy Specialist. During my time in the Agency I learned a lot from my colleagues, and I experienced the fast pace of an advertising agency, where the pressure and stress help you pushing yourself further and achieve greater solutions.
